We are delighted to announce that Sam Sugden in our Leeds office has been shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s CIBSE Yorkshire Awards 2017.
We nominated Sam for the award due to his fast development in his job role and recent successes such as his contribution to the CYC scheme over the past year. This was a huge challenge for such a young engineer but Sam showed no hesitation in rising to the challenge.
Sam’s college tutor reinforced our enthusiasm with the following statement:
“Sam is one of the few students on the HNC course at Wakefield College who prominently stands out from the rest of the cohort due to his exceptional enthusiasm for both the subjects I personally teach and learning in general. Some of his questions during lectures about the subject being taught cause me to think carefully before answering due to the sheer depth of his query.
Merely getting a ‘pass’ is never good enough for Sam, he always strives for ‘Distinction’.”
Sam is a very pleasant young man, with excellent communication skills and a strong drive to learn. We would like to wish him every success at the upcoming Awards Dinner and for his future career.
The winner of the Award will be announced at a prestigious Awards Dinner at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on the 10th November.
