Synopsis: comprising of a new modular three storey building which was craned into location adjacent to platform 12 at the north end of the station. The building included offices, changing rooms, meeting rooms, locker facilities and a mess room.

Anderson Green produced the Part L compliance calculations along with the thermal model and the level 5 Energy Performance Certification.

It is fully mechanically ventilated, heated by an air source heat pump system with automatic lighting controls to minimise energy consumption.

The building was ventilated mechanically via an air source heatpump.

Automatic lighting controls were also used to reduce energy consumption.

On completion of the mechanical& electrical design Anderson Green undertook a spatial review of all disciplines to ensure they were fully co-ordinated.

The building provided a working environment in line with the latest standards and Building Regulations.

The building also allowed improved access to the train station via a new interconnecting concourse.
