One Hockley is a proposed new student accommodation containing  88 Nr Study  Bedrooms with shared communal kitchen/living spaces and 39 Nr self-contained studios. All accommodation is complete with dedicated ensuite bath/shower rooms. At ground floor level there shall be a new retail outlet.
The development is located in the centre of Nottingham’s Hockley area on the site of the former Berlins Night Club.

Best in Class

Due to the city centre location openable windows are not permitted to the front evelations so ventilation shall be provided via vertical acoustic lourves adjacent each window with supplementary extract ventilation being taken either to the rear elevations or roof.

Hot water and domestic heating is provided by a gas fired combined heat and power (CHP) unit. The CHP unit with additional photo voltaic panels deliver Nottingham City Council’s requirement for  10% of the total energy demand from renewable technology.

A new District Network Operator Sub-station shall be installed at ground floor level to serve the apartments and the retail unit.

In addition to the developing the Building Services proposal, Anderson Green assisted with the statutory service applications, planning submission documentation, budget costs, and energy strategy.
