As part of the Hull 2020 transformation programme, a new Integrated Care Centre combined with an operational fire station will be built on the existing former David Lister School site.
The two storey facility will reduce avoidable emergency hospital admissions and shorten the time spent in hospital for people who do need to be admitted. It will also address significant gaps in service, such as local access to assessment and diagnostic services.
The facility will allow for a natural integration with health and social care services in order to support more vulnerable people in the community.
The Integrated Care Centre will also help to deliver enhanced fire safety and prevention measures for people who are most at risk of fire within their own homes.
