The International Institute for Product and Service Innovation (IIPSI) is a dedicated facility to support West Midlands SMEs access world-leading technology to develop leading innovative products and services.
Anderson Green were responsible for the fully detailed and co-ordinated design associated with the Mechanical and Electrical installations along with the development and completion of the Part L compliance calculations, thermal model and level 5 energy performance certification. Significant support an input into the project to achieve the BREEAM Excellent Rating was also a key support role provided by Anderson Green.
The building comprises Plastic Electronics manufacturing area, Technology Hall, Conference and Meeting rooms, User Focused Design Environment Spaces, Digital Media areas, Observation / Project area / Design studios/ Technology sandpit all supported by a large open space and Breakout areas.

Its design features an LED tower that changes colour according to messages sent via Twitter or measurements taken during research experiments. The fabric of the building is very much linked to the work going on within.”
The following groups are undertaking research that supports IIPSI’s digital innovation offering Service Systems research group in collaboration with large organisations such as GlaxoSmithKline, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, IBM, the Ministry of Defence as well as with SMEs researching into value constellations, new business models and value-creating service systems of people, product, service and technology.
