Best in Class
Southwark Primary School has been identified as an exemplar project by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Achieving BREEAM Excellent status, Southwark Primary School provides a new bench mark for primary education.
Due to large areas of exposed timber joist ceilings, M&E services were carefully co-ordinated to ensure all were hidden from view. Working closely with the architect, client and Thorn lighting, Anderson Green led the design of a bespoke luminaire to deliver illumination to CIBSE levels yet still maintain the desired finish.
‘Race track’ bulkheads were developed to distribute M&E services throughout the school, forming an architectural focal point to central hub spaces as well as allowing maintaining simple future access for maintenance.
