Squadron Medical’s new bespoke distribution centre has now been completed. The 41,000 ft² facility has been constructed on The Henry Boot Development’s Markham Vale Scheme, at Junction 29a of the M1.
The facility will be the national distribution centre and headquarters for the Medical Supplies Distributor.
The bespoke facility includes 9,000 ft² of CAT B offices, staff areas, labs and clean rooms, and also features a full height glazed reception area and fully fitted state of the art warehouse.
Anderson Green were responsible for the concept design, development of client brief, planning , setting the renewable, energy and environmental strategy for the development, production of performance based tender documents, provided client side monitoring and management of the design and installation undertaken by the specialist contractors and also acted as the BREEAM Assessor for the project.
Best in Class
The building achieved an EPC rating of ‘B’ and a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
The focus for the client and the whole concept of the development was to optimise the energy efficiency and ongoing operational costs for the client.
